Despite the constant breathing, my husband and I felt comfortable here. We enjoyed the delicious potato soup and noodles, the delicious cakes and most of all the super friendly service! Thank you!
The service was very friendly. (Thanks for the lovely compliment on my nails) The cakes are highly recommended and the menu is extensive.
If you want to have a "good" breakfast, you shouldn't have breakfast here. We waited 35 minutes for our breakfast. Unfortunately you had to be very sparing with the topping, otherwise it wouldn't have been enough for the two rolls. The muesli with fruit and yoghurt didn't convince me either. It wasn't a teaspoon of yogurt yet. For these prices those without a hot drink are simply not justified. We won't have breakfast here anymore. The offer in Trier is too big for that.
Great breakfast, good value for money and very nice service. Wonderful location right in the electoral palace park. Everything great!
Two of us arrived and were seated and served immediately. We didn't have to wait two minutes for the drinks and the food came very quickly. And that was a blast! I had the camembert quiche, my companion the potato soup. We both couldn't get out of the swarm. The service was super friendly and helpful. As you can imagine, the location is picturesque, with a view of the palace gardens and palace. I can definitely recommend the café warmly, both if you just want to have a hot drink or if you want to try delicious seasonal and regional dishes.
Very friendly and fast service and reasonably priced portions that also taste very good! The view and the architectural integration of the old city wall of Trier is also very atmospheric.
Landed here by accident and we haven't regretted it at any time !! Super great and friendly service, very tasty cake !! We will definitely come back next time !!
The name Zeitsprung fits. Here you can escape everyday life in a very culinary and friendly way.
Beautiful ambience, super delicious food. I've eaten better tarte flambée so far. Very nice and helpful service. We received a lot of additional information. We'll be back without question 👍
Fast service, the breakfast was very rich. Because of Corona, I would recommend a reservation.
Great flair and very hard-working staff. It is worth eating all kinds of food there. And practically combined with a visit to the city museum.
A beautiful view of the garden, palm trees and water can be given a little rest.
Great place to have breakfast. Great value for money and the service was very attentive. Always my pleasure.
Although it was designated as a café, we were refused a table because we only wanted a drink. Not dealing well with customers. Very annoying.
On our shopping tour we rested here while enjoying a drink. The terrace is next to the Kurfürsten palace and is quite popular. Besides drinking, there is also the possibility to Something to eat.
Bad service, and cash only (with no notification of such medieval service levels)
I and my family are very dissatisfied At first we would only be served after 30 minutes then we wait another 20 minutes for our drinks and the milkshake was just warm at 30 degrees and that for 4 €. The milkshake tastes better at McDonalds.
I don't know about this place. We could sit on the terrace but because of the bees and wasps that kept coming we decided to order to go. For the kids some icecream and for us drinks, simple enough. There are some drinks, small selection, you could choose to take out, that is fine. But altough the woman (older one) took the order and remain polite, this was not really perceived as such by us. And some nonsense by getting the drinks from her colleague a meter on the other end of the bar, and then getting back to her for the icecream. She could get us the whole order at once. But I guess they have a system, and nothing will let that change. We could only pay by cash, but I believe the ones before us could pay by card. Well, nothing solid, but I did not got the feeling I want to come here again.
So where do I start. The operation looks a bit helpless. First it says ne without a reservation, everything is not full and suddenly half the shop is still free. Breakfast was quite good and tasty and sitting outside in the park is very nice when the weather is fine. A little better organization and it would be perfect.
Apart from its good location, it is not well managed. Waiters are very unsuccessful. They wait too long to give you a table even though they have empty tables. The tables are always reserved for crowded groups. If you come to 2 people, they don't mind separating the tables. Don't come to have a drink during rush hour, they don't accept because they only accept you when you eat.
We cannot judge the quality of the products. Treated rude from the first minute by the wait staff. What a miserable person. Judging by the comments below, we're not the only ones who feel that way. Too bad, the location is great!
Lovely food in a wonderful museum.
I really enjoyed this place. Lovely, accommodating staff, warm tasty soup, reasonable prices. And a perfect break while in the museum.
An unexpected gem hidden inside the Rheinisches Landesmuseum! Opening out onto a small inner courtyard, the café is a good balance of light snacks and heartier fare for museum-goers. I recommend checking out the seasonal and weekly specials posted at each table, which help to add some extra variety to the regular menu of coffee, soups and sandwiches. Staff are upbeat and attentive without hovering. Bonus: friendly owner and operator Anke seems able to jump between German, French and English without hesitation to put guests at ease. She even spotted our Rick Steves' Germany tour book at our table and struck up a conversation about it - she is understandably proud of her mention in the section on Trier. All in all, an excellent oasis to sit back for a few, re-energize, and get ready to tackle the rest of the exhibits.
Orange juice for €4 straight out of a bottle. Blind and slow personel. You cant pay with card in café the "Zeitsprung"
Good place to chill after a lovely tour in Trier.
Super location Lovely cakes Good coffee Excellent and friendly service.
Place and interior are good, but I would never recommend the place because of their boss. Was very disappointed.
The only good thing of this place is the staff. The lady boss is the worst person you can ever deal with. Avoid this place. Boss disgusting. She shouldn’t be working in a service business.
Very nice service, relatively small selection of cakes, but as homemade and very good. Pleasant ambience with attractive pictures of local artists.
Kind and quick Service, good food, beautiful view on the Pallastgarten. Decent prices. Some tables are big enough to host groups of up to 10-12 people.
It's better not write the bad things
Very nice cafe with the amazing surroundings of the Landesmuseum and the park of the Palais Princier de Treves. Strongly recommend visiting for the Sunday brunch for high quality and fresh food. The waiting staff are friendly and helpful.
Healthy options, great view of the palace, friendly service, slightly understaffed but still a really nice place to relax after sightseeing all day.
Attractive scenery, good service, near various Roman artifacts
We had to wait for the table out side. The staffs are kind but they had to serve a lot of gusts. We spent much time for waiting some drinks. But the location was very nice!
Breakfast was rich, delicious and for a fair price. Staff was kind and fast. Ambient ist bright and friendly. The view into the Palast Garden was very nice and you can enter one of the most important archaeological museums in Germany directly from the cafe.
Excellent food, friendly staff. Only complaint, service can be slow during busy times. However for the price and quality, it's definitely worth it
Nice stop to warm in a rainy day... Nice chocolate, price ok.
Great stop on a rainy day!
Nice cake!
Great food, wonderful service, reasonable prices.
Absolutely brilliant. Thank you
Nice cafe good serves good food nice view great location
Absolutely shocking service. I'm so furious I can't even say all the things that were wrong. Very rude staff.
The Café Zeitsprung is nicely situated in Trier's "Palastgarten", and on a sunny day, the outside patio often fills up quickly, because it it is a very nice spot to sit and read or meet or to just sit there and watch (other) tourists, ducks and geese. Other than that, for this review, I would like to focus on the SUNDAY BRUNCH that is offered roughly from September to May. It is a good idea to reserve a table if you'd like to have brunch at Café Zeitsprung, as it is very popular with the breakfast crowd. And for good reasons. Compared to the Louisiana, the food is much better, and compared to the Brauhaus, the atmosphere is much nicer, as the Café Zeitsprung is much smaller and less crowded. This all comes at a price, though. Almost 15 Euro is what you'll have to pay (as of May 2014), and this does not include beverages. Still, as the food is very good and also caters to vegetarians, this is a good option for a Sunday morning outing,
